Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actor and TV host. She is best known for her role as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her professional career in showbiz early. She was a lead actress in television dramas from as early as the age of 16. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the television film made for TV Der Tunnel paved way for some other memorable roles such as the role of the secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge from the critically and commercially popular Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning actress. Alexandra was involved in a variety of notable international and national projects throughout time. For instance, the British biographical movie Control, the Greek dramatic The Dust of Time, and the French historical miniseries Napoleon are just a few of those. She also served on the jury at the Transylvania International Film Festival, and also at Cannes Film Festival.
